  • I like this book and to be honest I complement my studies with Swanson’s Family Medicine and Step-Up Medicine. Reviewing from the 3 books I feel that I get better information and reinforce my knowledge. I strongly recommend the 3 of them, and if you learn looking images and ordered items, this book is for you.

  • Book itself from what i have heard is excellent, but warehousedeals service was crappy to say the least, the code for web access for the multiple choice questions inside the book had already been used up by people at warehouse deals, I had to return the book and request refund

  • My opinion might not be quite fair because I was not going through the whole book but looked up (proofed) some “high yield” topics instead, usually important for the board exam. One example is “typical pulmonary infections in cystic fibrosis” and I could not find the right info. That’s why I sent this book back. My experience with the ABIM Exam is that you not only have to have the right amount of facts handy but also be able to differentiate between very similiar disease presentations, and that all in very short time. This is a tricky situation, especially for non native speakers (I am german). For board exam preparation you need a book that focuses exactly on these factors and at the same time giving you the right amount of facts . As far as I can tell the MKSAP and the MedStudy IM Board Review are the only ones that can give you that. Both about 400$ each!
